I recently ordered 3 Short Mic Holders for myself and two co-workers. After using them for approx. one week I ordered more. I think you guys have a great product here and it really WILL (if it hasn't yet) save an officer's life. Approx. one month ago I got into a short foot chase that resulted in my shoulder mic getting knocked off and broken. After that incident I did some research to check for similar products like yours. I must say your product is the one that made the most sense along with being durable. Ofc. Joseph Dusovic Marvin, It has worked quite well and I have shown it to several of my co-workers who are interested in it. I noticed the other day that the outer band on one side where it connects to the plastic piece is starting to fray a bit but it does not seem to be affecting the integrity of the Short Mic Holder. I have found at times that the clip of my mic has separated from my shirt but I wouldn’t have noticed without looking down at it because the Short Mic Holder has held it in place so well. Overall, it has been a great product and you will probably have some business from members of our department.

Good Morning Marvin. In one instance, I lost the ability to communicate with the dispatcher during a struggle I had with a suspect. I was trying to arrest the individual when my microphone detached from my uniform shirt. I was given your microphone holder to test so I could prevent this from reoccurring again. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I have not been in a physical struggle since; however, on several occasions I have tried to remove my radio from my belt area. As I set my radio down and I forgot about removing the microphone from the holder, your attachment held the entire weight of the radio as it dangled from my person. I have no doubt your holder will not only keep a hand microphone in place but it seems to hold the weight of the entire radio as well (something possible during an incident and unexpected).

Thomas Hi Marvin, I recently tested your microphone holder. I used the product for roughly a week. This is a product you do not appreciate until you actually get into a situation where your most important piece of equipment (RADIO) has fallen from your reach. The holder was easily inserted over my microphone and through my button opening. I was surprised at how the microphone was secured to the shirt, I was skeptical about this working. After a week of wear it became apparent that this product was durable and almost necessary for keeping my microphone attached to my uniform. In the scope of my duties I ride a bicycle for two to three hours daily and normally in the process of a week my microphone would come unclipped daily. During my trial week I am happy to inform you that my microphone stayed securely attached to my uniform all week! Thank you for the opportunity to use your product.

We do not have cages in our cruisers so we are not allowed to transport prisoners. All transportation of prisoners has to be done in our van. This officer’s primary duties involve handling arrested individuals from the scene of the arrest to the station for processing. He informed me that he had received my e-mail in regards to the mic holder and immediately purchased one. He then informed me that he had numerous altercations with individuals after having your product on his uniform. He stated that the holder worked perfectly. If you remember I purchased several mic holders from you last year for
the my guys on patrol and gave each of them one. Well,
tonight, one of my officers went to a domestic disturbance and got into
a violent altercation with one of our drug dealers (prior prison
sentence for violent crimes) at the scene. The officer's
badge, name plate and several other items were torn from his
uniform. However, the only thing that was not torn was his
short mic holder that secured his lapel mic so he could call for
help. After speaking with the officer after the incident he
was very grateful he was wearing the short mic

Marvin, Just a word of appreciation. On March 17, 2009 I was working extra duty at a local bar for St. Patty's Day. Around 2330 I attempted to escort a drunk from the bar that had punched an elderly patron of the bar in the back. As I confronted the drunk, he immediately decided that he was not leaving the bar with out a fight. During the altercation, my radio mic clip that was attached to the front of my shirt was knocked off, but the Short Mic Holder kept my radio mic attached to my shirt and permitted me to call for back up.
