Thank you for your product. Several coworkers wear them currently and I, seeing the obvious wisdom behind the concept, can't even begin to imagine how I have worked so long without one. A small pamphlet or brochure used to be posted in our briefing room. It isn't there anymore but I remember seeing it and fished around the internet long enough to finally find you. Thank you again.

Dear ShortMicHolder.com I have used the short mic holder for approximately 9 months. I work in a very rural area of Los Angeles County where I heavily rely on the ease and immediate use of my handheld radio. Recently I was on patrol with a deputy currently on patrol training. It was their first use of force and the fiercest fight of my career. The 3rd-strike suspect was heavily under the influence and did not want to go to jail. The fight started standing and ended in all-out grappling brawl. When the incident was Code-4, the trainee looked at me and asked, "Sir, look at your mic." The mic stayed attached to my shirt and was hardly out of place; they were astonished. I told them what I use to keep my mic where I need it. The shortmicholder is a must when I suit up each day. Regards, Desert Patrol Deputy Palmdale Sheriff's Station Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department |

| This invention is invaluable! The design holds the
shoulder mic perfectly in place, but it doesn't add any inconvenience or discomfort to the uniform. It is a genius method to keep one of the most important pieces of my gear securely in place. This should be a part of everyone's uniform! Thanks, Jeff Master Police Officer Jeff Angermeyer Borough of Hillsdale, Hillsdale, NJ |

Marvin,
I just wanted to say thanks for a great product. The Officer that I gave the mic holder to loves it. It has already saved his mic several times from falling to the ground while arresting a suspect.

Marvin,
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I have worn the short mic holder since the day it arrived. I have been very pleased with it. I have told all the guys with in my department about it and several from other departments around me. I have given all but one of your cards out. Your son had a great idea with this item I am glad you continued on with it after his death. Please keep it safe out there.
Thanks again

I wanted to touch base with you and give you some feedback. I was arresting a drunk driver the other day after he had crashed and was over twice the legal limit BAC. Upon doing so a brief altercation occurred and my mic was dislodged from Shirt and was caught by you invention I was wearing. I like the way it works and I have posted your information on our PBA bulletin Board in H.Q.

| Dear Mr. Short, I just wanted to express how much I
enjoy using the shortmic holder. I received the short mic from my
chief several months ago to try out. Before I received the short mic, I had problems with my mic comingunhooked from the front of my uniform and hanging behind me during different incidents. Since having the short mic, I have been in several hands onincidents. During these incidents I felt very secure in knowing if I neededto call for assistance, that my mic was still there. Now, most of theofficers at my agency are using the short mic. Again, I just wanted to thank you for helping me and other officers feel more safe on the street. R.Young. City of Graham Police Dept. I am currently a patrol sergeant for the Santa Clara County
Sheriff's Office. Santa Clara CA . We recently had a fight with a
burglary suspect, and several of my deputies had lost their lapel
microphone during the struggle. I have used your mic holder for a
about a year and thought it was a great officer safety tool. So I am
buying them for my officers

Dear MTS 911 Wear,
Im so happy to hear that this little device is finally going into production. I was one of the first officers to get one of Mikes microphone holders and I didnt think much of it at first. Shortly after getting in my first struggle with a suspect, I noticed that my microphone was still hanging from my shirt, right where it should be. At that time I went up to Mike and told him how well the little device had worked and apologized for not thinking much of it at first. I think that it is a great device as it makes sure that your microphone remains where it should be and accessible when you need it. In the event of a struggle, you dont have waste time looking for your microphone or have to take your eyes off of your suspect when you need to use your radio. You always know where your microphone is. I think its a great devise! Reserve Officer Abilio Lopez San Fernando Police Department |

Sir,
Having used the Short Mic Holder for a couple of months now, I
wanted to write and let you know that I have been very pleased
with the ease of use, obvious durability and the peace of mind
it gives me to know that when I need my radio microphone I know
where it will be. I was so impressed with your product I have
purchased fifty of them for our personnel to use.
Everyone in law enforcement with an extender microphone should
use the Short Mic Holder as it could mean the difference between
going home at the end of the shift or not.

Marvin,
We have had the short-mic holder in use with our deputies for the last few months. We have found this product to dramatically improve officer safety. Because of this, I personally endorse this product and have found it to be a very simple, innovative way of keeping our deputies in communication with assisting units. Marvin, For the past 6 years, I have evaluated new technology equipment to improve the efficiency of our patrol personnel and to improve officer safety. After personally evaluating the Short Mic Holder, I was very impressed with the effectiveness and simplicity of the device. Every officer who wears a mic in the field is aware of the problem of the mic becoming dislodged while in foot pursuits or during fights with suspects. A dangling mic poses a great officer safety risk at a time when officer safety is most critical. I have given the Short Mic Holder to several patrol deputies for evaluation and received very favorable comments. Thank you for taking your son's innovative idea and producing a cost-effective solution to benefit all police officers. I am certain that individual officers and police departments will recognize the benefit of the Short Mic Holder in improving officer safety.

The mic holders are easy to use, stay in place and keep the mic right where it should be, like when I got suited up for duty. I have run with them and bent over into various positions and they just seem to keep my mic in place. Thanks for a simple and functioning law enforcement product.

I would like to place and order for 50 of the "Short Mics". I have given several of the samples that I received to my officers. They love them. I feel this is a great product and will help save lives of police officers. I also feel that this is a great tribute to your son, who will always remain a member of the law enforcement family. Thank you,

In one instance, I lost the ability to communicate with the dispatcher during a struggle I had with a suspect. I was trying to arrest the individual when my microphone detached from my uniform shirt. I was given your microphone holder to test so I could prevent this from reoccurring again. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I have not been in a physical struggle since; however, on several occasions I have tried to remove my radio from my belt area. As I set my radio down and I forgot about removing the microphone from the holder, your attachment held the entire weight of the radio as it dangled from my person.
I have no doubt your holder will not only keep a hand microphone in place but it seems to hold the weight of the entire radio as well (something possible during an incident and unexpected). Ofc. Tait Thomas #343 3064 North Commerce Parkway Miramar Florida 33025

I recently tested your microphone holder. I used the product for roughly a week. This is a product you do not appreciate until you actually get into a situation where your most important piece of equipment (RADIO) has fallen from your reach. The holder was easily inserted over my microphone and through my button opening. I was surprised at how the microphone was secured to the shirt, I was skeptical about this working. After a week of wear it became apparent that this product was durable and almost necessary for keeping my microphone attached to my uniform. In the scope of my duties I ride a bicycle for two to three hours daily and normally in the process of a week my microphone would come unclipped daily. During my trial week I am happy to inform you that my microphone stayed securely attached to my uniform all week! Thank you for the opportunity to use your product.

The real value with the Short Mic is moving it from the shoulder
area and placing it directly in front of the
officer
EVEN WHEN WHEN
THE CLIP IS DISLOGED As part of our training we instruct officers to avoid turning their heads to speak into the mike. An officer in a neighboring department was shot to death when he averted his eyes from the suspect to the shoulder mike.

I have worked for the Jermyn Borough

have trained newly appointed officers. I have said in the past that
something is needed to keep the mics from falling off of the

I would like to thank you for allowing us to test the “Short Mic Holder”. I have passed it on to one of my patrol officers who has reported that he is very pleased with the devise, which has several times now kept his mic in place when it would have normally have fallen off of his shirt. The mic holder is one of those tools that most of us would not have ever thought about using; until you start to use it, and then it becomes a very useful tool. It’s easy to use, and it makes sense.
Thanks again, best wishes and continued success with your mic holder.

Hey Marvin, I would like to say, I have tried the short mic holder and wont ever go a shift without using it. Ironically, The first night had it on, I was involved with a vehicle pursuit and subsequent foot chase afterwards, Once we caught the driver, he gave us fight we will soon forget, although, during the struggle, my mic clip came off of my shirt, with the shortmic holder in use, the mic was right where I needed it to radio that the subject was in custody... Thanks Again !!! Thanks Again... Ptlm. Robert Flynn Jermyn Borough Police Department 440 Jefferson Avenue Jermyn , Pennsylvania 18433 |

Marvin, It was nice to speak with you earlier this afternoon. I looked at your site and was impressed by your product. Although it is quite simple in design it appears the holder is a valuable asset to patrol. I remember having my mike knocked loose off my epaulet on more than one occasion back in my youth. I also went to the memorial site for you son and was touched by the fact he was someone who was a reserve officer and did the job to help the community he lived in. Have a happy holiday.

Lt Cummings from my police department, asked me to write you about this item. I have used it and found that it does in fact work very well when I use it on the front of my shirt. It holds the mic in place and does the Job it was designed to do. Thanks you for your son designing this.

I have personally used the Short mic-holder on our summer, winter, and tactical uniform and have found it to be a very practical piece of equipment in all situations. When properly used, it holds a shoulder mike in place during all applications of the law enforcement experience. I recommend it without reservation for any officer.
Furthermore, I thank you for the opportunity to evaluate this device (free of charge), as it does what it says it would do.

Marvin Just a word of appreciation. On March 17, 2009 I was working extra duty at a local bar for St. Patty's Day. Around 2330 I attempted to escort a drunk from the bar that had punched an elderly patron of the bar in the back. As I confronted the drunk, he immediately decided that he was not leaving the bar with out a fight.
During the altercation, my radio mic clip that was attached to the front of my shirt was knocked off, but the Short Mic Holder kept my radio mic attached to my shirt and permitted me to call for back up. The Short Mic Holder is truly an officer safety device.

Sir, I have been using your mic holder for a few weeks. It has worked well on my class a uniforms, however I found it difficult to use on BDU type uniforms due to the overlap covering the buttons. It works well on epaulets on all uniforms. Thanks for a good product. Ofc. Brian Kiel Milton Police K-9 Unit |
